Synge; A Book of Discovery  Blue boards lettered and decorated with gilt with a paper inlay of Ptolemy's map of the World.  Illustrated with color frontispiece and seven other color plates, sixteen black & white plates and many other illustrations in the text.  Chapters include Ptolemy's maps, Medieval exploration, Vasco Da Gama, Balboa, Polar explorations and more.  London, Thomas Nelson, no date.  $65.SOLD

Shakespeare; As You Like It.    A facsimile of the First Folio Text.  London, Chiswick Press, [1929].  Signed by what appears to be the cast of the play at Stratford.  Signatures include Anthony Quayle, Michael Bates, Leon Quartermaine, Robert Shaw and Diana Wynward - among many others.  $175.

James Usher: The Principles of Christian Religion; with a large body of divinity, methodically and familiarly handled, London, 1678.  Contemporary leather.  This is the 7th edition; first edition was 1645.  It includes Immanuel, which apparently was often omitted in the various editions, and some twenty sermons, in addition to the principal text.  Usher was Professor of Divinity, Trinity College, 1607, and the Archbishop of Armagh, 1625.  He was Chaplain to Charles I, and he was the one who calculated the world was created in 4004 BC.   Recently rebacked; $375.    SOLD
